Building Africa's Evidence Workforce
D4Act's Training & Capacity Building practice invests in the next generation of African development professionals - equipping researchers, M&E officers, data scientists, and policymakers with the skills to generate, interpret, and act on rigorous evidence.
The D4Act Training Academy
Africa faces a critical shortage of trained evaluation and data professionals. The African Evaluation Association (AfrEA) estimates that demand for qualified evaluators across the continent far exceeds supply - with many government M&E positions filled by staff who have never received formal training in evaluation methodology. D4Act's Training Academy was created to directly address this capacity gap.
Our training programmes combine rigorous academic content with hands-on practice using real African datasets. Every course is taught by practitioners who work in the field - not just academics who study it from afar. Participants leave with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills they can apply immediately in their organisations.

Custom Institutional Training
Bespoke training engagements for government ministries, NGOs, and international organisations. We design curricula around your specific M&E challenges, deliver on-site workshops, and provide follow-up mentoring to ensure skills transfer endures.
"The most sustainable investment in Africa's evidence ecosystem is not in technology or tools - it is in people. Every trained evaluator, every skilled data scientist, every competent M&E officer multiplies the impact of every future programme they touch."
